The fields on the right-hand side in the 窶廢vent窶 view are used to specify which object the event should be linked to.
In the 窶廛oc.窶 field you enter the name of the document where the object is stored. This document should always be open when you run a simulation. If you leave this field blank, DynRisk will assume that the object is located in the document you opened first in the current session. Thus, unless you always open just one document at the time, you should enter a document name in the 窶廛oc.窶 field.
In the two 窶廡old.窶 fields you can enter names of folders containing the object you want to link to. You do not have to enter anything into these fields. Alternatively you can use just one of the fields. In particular, if the object you want to link to, is located at the top level in your model, you should leave both the 窶廡old.窶 fields blank. Similarly, if the object is located just one level below the top level, you use only the first field (or none of the fields if the object has a name which is unique within the model). The important thing is to supply DynRisk with enough information to find the right object.
The first folder does not need to be located at the top level in the model. The second folder must be located somewhere inside the first folder, but not necessarily at the level just under the first one.
Note that if the object is a data node, you should of course not enter anything in the 窶廡old.窶 fields, since result files do not contain folders.
In the 窶廸ode窶 field you enter the name of the object you want the event to be linked to. Alternatively, you may enter the number of the object with respect to the folder or document it is contained in. If, e.g., you want to link to the sixth node in a particular folder, you just enter 6 in the 窶廸ode窶 field.
Note, however, the node number is affected by the sort type used in the folder. Thus, to be safe, it is much better to use the node name.
The 窶廛ata node窶 checkbox is used to indicate whether the object is a data node or a 窶徨egular窶 node. This checkbox is disabled if the chosen property is available only for one object type. Thus, since e.g., the 窶弃aram (a)窶 property is available only for regular nodes, the checkbox will be locked in the unchecked state if this property is chosen. Similarly, since the 窶彝anked output窶 property is available only for data nodes, the checkbox will be locked in the checked state if this property is chosen.
